This past weekend I was privileged to take a trip with my host family to their village home, about 45 minutes outside of Hanoi.

The village is populated mostly by the elder generation and young children. Those of working age, like my host father, have migrated to the city for work. This is a familiar story around Vietnam, and around the world.
